Jonco Industries

The building at 2800 W Custer Avenue was acquired by Jonco Industries, Inc. in 2014 and functions as one of the company's five properties that together offer complete, innovative, and practical marketing projects and products to hundreds of clients. In addition to serving as the company’s main office, 2800 W Custer is home to countless Jonco services including contract manufacturing, industrial sewing, flatbed digital printing and finishing, water jet cutting, laser cutting, point-of-purchase fabrication, and more.

Jonco Industries previously utilized PACE financing for renovation projects at another property, 5611 W Mill Road, and the company’s president, Thomas Ryan, has a long-standing relationship with PACE Equity founder Beau Engman. Jonco took the Better Buildings Challenge pledge for 2800 W Custer while working to set-up their BBC participant profile and ENERGY STAR account for 5611 W Mills.

When you’re paying the bill, you have to worry about energy costs - we are conscious of efficiency and the environment every step of the way.

Energy Performance

JONCO completed a total remodel of 2800 W Custer in July 2016 and commissioned their solar roof immediately after. During renovations, the operational equipment was moved out of the old facility in stages, so the building began operating at full capacity towards the end of 2016 and has continued to add additional services since.

Although an ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® account is not yet set up for 2800 W Custer, Jonco currently utilizes a We Energies energy tracking system and looks forward to working with the Better Buildings Challenge program to benchmark and share the building's data with the City of Milwaukee in the near future.
