Bulky Waste & Debris

One (1) cubic yard of bulky waste and/or debris (about the size of an easy chair) may be placed at your garbage collection point for pickup on your designated collection day - crews will not take items which are banned from the City's landfill.

There is a fee for a special pickup of bulky waste and/or debris items greater than one cubic yard as noted below. To request a special pickup for these items, call 286-CITY (2489).

  • $50 - up to four (4) cubic yards
  • $150 - up to six (6) cubic yards

City of Milwaukee residents may drop off bulky waste items, debris, and a maximum of 5 tires at one of the City's Self-Help Centers.  For more information, please visit:  Self-Help Drop-Off Centers.

In Spring, a City-wide program designed to foster neighborhood pride and ownership through coordinated clean ups, street and alley sweeping, graffiti removal and neighborhood beautification activities sponsored by community organizations. Collection Crews will target one zone each week and collect extra items left at the collection point on the scheduled collection day.
