2020 Census - Together We Count!
The 2020 Census – or count of the U. S. population – is quickly approaching us. In March 2020, the U. S. Census Bureau will mail postcards requesting that every household in the U. S. complete a census survey. This means that every adult, child and infant in your household should be counted regardless of their immigration or citizenship status. Our goal is to Make Greater Milwaukee Count! Visit our Frequently Asked Questions page to learn more.2020 Census Community Kick-Off / Lanzamiento Comunitario

Take the Census Pledge
Pledge to be counted in the 2020 census and don’t miss your chance to have your voice heard. Wisconsin Voices, a partner of the Greater Milwaukee Complete Count Committee, is taking pledges from residents committed to completing the 2020 Census survey. By filling out and submitting their brief interest form you will be reminded to fill out your census survey when it is available and stay up to date on important information.
The Next Census Is Coming Soon!
The U. S. Census counts every person in the U. S. and takes place every 10 years. The next census is just around the corner. Households will be invited to participate in the 2020 Census in mid-March. For the first time ever, the Census Bureau will accept responses online and by phone, but you can still respond by mail if you prefer.
Census data is used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities for education, health, housing and more. Wisconsin alone receives $12.6 billion annually based on census data. Census data decides how many seats we get in the U. S. Congress and election wards. Your information is private, and it is against the law for the Census Bureau to share it with immigration and law enforcement agencies.
