Donating

Many Milwaukee shelters and organizations accept new and gently-used donations. Here are a few options.

Bublr Bikes - Accepts cars, RVs, boats, trailers, motorcycles or any other vehicle. Vehicle pick up is free, the donation is tax-deductible, and the proceeds from the vehicle will go to Bublr Bikes, Milwaukee County's nonprofit bikeshare. 

Freecycle - Join the Milwaukee network, moderated by local volunteers, to give away or get free items from neighbors in the community.

Goodwill - Accepts wide variety of household items. Review their list of accepted and unaccepted items for drop off at a store near you.

Meta House - Accepts new and gently-used hobby, household, and personal care items. Visit the website to review the in-kind donation wish list and find contact information.

Purple Heart Service Foundation - Accepts vehicles and clothing.

Milwaukee Public Library - Accepts donated books written within the last 10 years. Books may be put into the collection or sold to the public to raise funds.

Pick Up Services Available

Habitat for Humanity Restore - Accepts new and used homegoods, cabinetry, building supplies, etc. Deconstruction and pick up services available for large donations.

Salvation Army - Accepts a wide variety of items including furniture, clothing, household goods, appliances, and vehicles. Visit the website to schedule a free pick up, find a drop off location, or find a thrift store near you.

St Vincent de Paul - Accepts clothing, household items, furniture, cleaning and serving supplies, and vehicles. Visit the website to find what items they will provide a free pick up for or to find the nearest drop-off box location.
