First Section of St. Mary's Built.

The cornerstone was laid on May 27.

First Addition Added

With a May 4 groundbreaking, the addition occupied space which would eventually hold the chapel sanctuary.

Second Addtion Begun

Groundbreaking took place on July 4, and excavation began on Sept. 14.

Statue of St. Joseph in the Inner Courtyard

The statue of St. Joseph was blessed on May 19 by the chaplain, Fr. Joseph Heim.

Divine Savior Junior College Opened at St. Mary’s Convent

Classes began on Sept. 14, with the convent rejoicing and offering gratitude to God for the school’s big step forward.

 

Remodeling at St. Mary’s Convent & Nursing Home

Extensive remodeling took place at St. Mary’s Nursing Home. The original 1900 building was remodeled as a residence for 25 sisters and was named “Queen of Apostles."
