Sex Offenders

The City of Milwaukee Common Council passed a sex offender residency restriction ordinance law which prohibits certain designated sexual offenders to reside within 2,000 feet of prohibited locations where children congregates.  The law goes into effect on October 7, 2014.

The City of Milwaukee Clerk's Office put together an informational packet for the public. Citizens can also pickup this packet at any Milwaukee Police District stations, Milwaukee Police Sensitive Crimes Division, or the City Clerk's office. Anyone having questions related to the ordinance can call the City Clerk's office at 286-2221.

To look for an individual person on the sex offender registry, click on the WI Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry website.
