Check back in February 2025 for DPW Milwaukee's Annual Compost Bin pre-sale!
Composting is a great way to reduce food waste. A recent Department of Public Works (DPW) study showed that households using backyard compost bins divert 25% of their food waste from the trash! To make great compost, add yard waste, such as leaves, garden debris, and grass clippings, in addition to all of your fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds and filters, and other organic materials from your home. You will get a rich compost to make your soil healthier and help the City of Milwaukee reach its goal of 40% landfill diversion.
