The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) is expanding Bublr Bikes, the City's nonprofit bike share, by 26 stations and approximately 250 bikes. DPW worked with community partners and residents to identify sites for expansion. The map below shows the final proposed station placement, which was based on input from the community and best practices to ensure the success of the overall system.
Below is an overview map of proposed station locations followed by smaller area maps and proposed station intersections. "Alternate" stations will be installed if any of the "first choice" stations are not feasible.
Note: The previous station 20 at S. Cesar E. Chavez Dr. & W. Washington St. is being installed independent of this grant project.
DPW held two Public Open Houses where residents learned about the expansion project and suggested station locations. Couldn't make it to a meeting? View meeting materials here.
A second set of Public Open Houses were to take place in summer 2020; however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, large public gatherings have been put on hold.
