Sanitation collects garbage and household recyclables from approximately 190,000 households with 1 - 4 units in the City of Milwaukee. Collection days may change each spring as collection routes are reconfigured and typically shift throughout the year to accommodate City holidays. Garbage is collected weekly and recycling collection schedules vary. Look up your schedule online.
Construction waste and certain bulky items have additional setout rules and fees.
Brush and leaves are collected seasonally.
Due to landfill bans, the following items are NOT collected curbside.
Review complete garbage and recycling guidelines.
