Mayor Barrett’s Holiday Drive

The 13th Annual Holiday Drive kicks off on Wednesday, November 25 and ends on Friday, December 16. This year’s Holiday Drive will support both Hope House of Milwaukee and The Guest House of Milwaukee. For more information on the 13th Annual Holiday Drive, please visit

Since 2007, the City of Milwaukee has held an Annual Holiday Drive. City of Milwaukee employees, community partners, businesses and residents have risen to the challenge and collected thousands of toiletries, snacks, goodies and more to help bring a little holiday cheer to those in need during the holiday season.

The drive began as a way for the City of Milwaukee to share their gratitude with Wisconsin troops who were far away from their homes during the holidays. More than 2,000 goodie-filled boxes were shipped to Wisconsin troops serving our country overseas in places like Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo.

In 2013, the Holiday Drive took on a new beneficiary: our veterans. With more and more troops returning home from overseas service, the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County formed a partnership to support hundreds of veterans and their families in the greater Milwaukee area. We provided hundreds of complete home starter kits for the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative and brought the comforts of home to the patients receiving care at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.

The goal for the 13th Annual Holiday Drive is to collect donations for Milwaukee-area individuals and families seeking housing and support services, and in the process spread holiday cheer. With your commitment, we can help our fellow Milwaukeeans as we continue to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
