Welcome to the Mayor's Office
Tom Barrett is a lifelong Milwaukeean. He entered public service starting in the Wisconsin State Assembly and Senate and continued his legislative career representing Milwaukee in the U.S. Congress.
On April 6, 2004, Milwaukee elected Tom Barrett as its 40th Mayor. He has won reelection in 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

Milwaukee has been allocated approximately $394.2 million in direct ARPA assistance.
It is the City of Milwaukee’s goal to use the funds to enable the City and community to recover from the pandemic, address the needs of residents, families and neighborhoods hardest hit by the pandemic, and put our city on a path to a strong, inclusive and equitable recovery.
Priorities include early education, stable and affordable housing, eviction and foreclosure prevention, broadband/internet access, critical infrastructure, workforce development, economic development, small business development, public health and community resiliency.
