“The City of Milwaukee supports energy efficiency improvements as part of an enhanced and coordinated network of housing repair resources while supporting climate action. We are especially focused on zip codes where homeowners struggle the most with high energy burdens. This additional funding is critical to helping advance these goals.
“Additional funding for weatherization assistance through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will help Milwaukee better tackle the issues of housing quality, affordability and racial equity. Many Milwaukeeans struggle to pay their electric bills, but home energy efficiency upgrades can help reduce these costs, create local jobs and reduce our carbon footprint.”
