Mayor Johnson and Common Council Members Share Progress on Homes MKE
$15-million Effort to Convert Boarded Homes to Residences Advances
Mayor Cavalier Johnson, along with several Common Council members, will show a recently completed Homes MKE residence and provide updates on the program.
Homes MKE is an investment of $15-million in American Rescue Plan Act funds to convert numerous city-owned, tax-foreclosed houses into fully restored residences.The city is partnering with established not-for-profit groups and emerging developers on the project.
The Mayor and other officials will talk about Homes MKE and provide a tour of the house at 3436 North 13th Street, which is currently for sale.
