Bidding during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the DPW Contract Office remains closed to the public until further notice. 
  • Contractors working on a DPW project during COVID-19 must adhere to the directives found in the Notice to all contractors working on DPW projects
  • Paper bid submittals are not being accepted at this time.  Do not mail or fax bid documents.
  • Bidders are strongly encouraged to utilize online bidding opportunities via BidExpress.com.  If you cannot submit an electronic bid, bids will also be accepted via email to cjantz@milwaukee.gov and remarti@milwaukee.gov no later than 10:30 am on the day of the bid opening. 
  • Bidders must either email bid bonds or submit electronic bid bonds no later than 10:30 am on the day of the bid opening.
  • Additional bid documents are posted here
  • Bidders may request attendance at bid openings via conference call.  Please contact Reggie Martinka remarti@milwaukee.gov or Celeste Jantz cjantz@milwaukee.gov at least 24 hours in advance to set up a conference call for a scheduled bid opening.
  • Plans are not available for in-person purchase at this time.  Bid specifications and plans are only available for download on the DPW Bidding Home page.
