The City of Milwaukee, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and the City of Wauwatosa, is planning to resurface a portion of S. 84th Street and replace the bridge over Honey Creek. The municipalities invite residents and businesses to attend an open-house style public involvement meeting regarding the project on Tuesday, July 8 from 4-6 p.m. at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, 330 Glenview Avenue. The meeting will be held in The Atrium, parking is available in the school’s lot. The meeting is an opportunity to introduce the community to the project, present existing corridor conditions, and seek feedback from the community. Project team members will be available to answer questions. The proposed project will resurface S. 84th Street from Honey Creek to just south of W. Bluemound Road, replace the bridge over Honey Creek, replace pedestrian curb ramps, install curb extensions and improve bicycle accommodations and transit stops.
