Captain William Beauchene
Captain William Beauchene joined the Milwaukee Police Department in April of 1995. As an officer, he was assigned to District Four and the Vice Control Division. He was promoted to Detective in 2001 and was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Bureau with various investigative assignments in Property Crimes, Gang Crimes, HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas), Violent Crimes, and Robbery investigations. In 2010, he was promoted to Lieutenant with various supervisory assignments in the Technical Communications Division, Investigative Management Division and the Investigations Bureau where he led the citywide Robbery Task Force (MAVCTF - Milwaukee Area Violent Crimes Task Force) investigating citywide carjacking’s, bank robberies and case management robberies.
Captain Beauchene was promoted to Captain in 2017 and commands the North Investigation Division responsible for all criminal investigations in Districts, 3, 4, 5, and 7 as well as the Robbery Task Force and the regional Gang Task Force – (SERGTF - Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Gang Task Force).
Captain Beauchene is also a military veteran and in his 29th year of military service in the Air Force Reserves where he commands a Security Forces squadron at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington D.C. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Management from Concordia University and also holds a Master of Military Art and Science degree from Air University.
