Captain Paul Lough
Captain Paul Lough was appointed to the Milwaukee Police Department in 2000 and started his career at District 3. From there, he went to the Gang Crimes-Intelligence Division in 2004, until he was promoted Detective in 2006. He was on the Robbery unit for a year and then spent 6 years on the Homicide Division. In 2013, he was promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned to Violent Crimes, until he went back to Homicide in 2016. During his tenure as a Detective and a Lieutenant, he was a negotiator and supervisor on the Crisis Negotiations Unit. In 2018, he partook in creating the Special Investigations Division and was promoted to Captain of SID. Prior to joining the MPD, he completed a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Master's Degree in Administration of Justice (Criminology) from Marquette University.
