Local Organizations


Parks People -
The Park People of Milwaukee County, Inc. (TPP), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, has educated and involved the public in decisions concerning our parks through our mission:  Citizen Stewardship of Milwaukee County Parks.  Our members have raised millions of dollars for public projects including historical preservation, park improvements, park programs and employee enrichment. 


Bay View Bike

The club promotes bicycling not only for its overall health benefits but also for the opportunity to meet diverse people, create friendships, and enjoy the camaraderie of follow bicyclists.


Friends of the Hank Area State Trail -
Non-profit organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and maintaining the Hank Aaron State Trail and is a local group of the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks (


The Bella

A non-competitive, mentoring and motivational women’s cycling group for social group road and mountain bike rides to get women off their sofas, onto bikes and out to have fun.


Cream City Cycling

“The Bicycling Club for Metro Milwaukee”


Marquette University Cycling Club -

Marquette Cycling Club is open to all Marquette students and alumni and works to promote bicycling as a sustainable form of transportation as well as a great way to exercise.


Metro Mountain Bikers -  

The Milwaukee Chapter of IMBA, which promotes and protects environmentally responsible mountain bike opportunities in the area,works on opening more and better trails for all to use, and sponsors trail work days and social rides for all rider skill levels.

Milwaukee Bike Polo Club –



Milwaukee’s bicycle community resource website with information on bicycle advocacy opportunities, a calendar of bicycling events, community news, group rides, photos sharing, buy/sell/trade, and a message board.

Milwaukee School of Engineering Unicycling Club –

The MSOE Unicycle Club's mission is to increase public knowledge of unicycling at MSOE and in the Greater Milwaukee community.

State Organizations

Wisconsin Bicycle

Statewide advocacy organization with offices in Milwaukee and Madison that encourages and promotes bicycling, improves bicycling conditions and safety, and provides a voice for bicyclists in Wisconsin.


Wisconsin Cycling Association -

Statewide organization that promotes and supports bicycle races that recognize and honor dedication, sportsmanship and team spirit; and provides race organizers with the resources to create safe and challenging events that welcome new racers and experienced veterans alike while developing the best of Wisconsin’s amateur cyclists for regional, national and international competition.


National Organizations


Alliance for Bicycling &

Coalition of bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organizations working together to transform communities into great places to bike and walk.


International Mountain Biking

Advocacy organization that works to create, enhance and preserve great trail experiences for mountain bikers worldwide and encourages low-impact riding, volunteer trail work participation, cooperation among different trail user groups, and innovative trail construction and management.


League of American

National organization that promotes bicycling for fun, fitness, sport and transportation through advocacy and education.


People for Bikes -

Launched in 1999 as Bikes Belong, PeopleForBikes includes both an industry coalition of bicycling suppliers and retailers, as well as a charitable foundation.  We provide a unified front for advocating for bicycling on a national level, a strategic center to ensure collaboration between each piece in the bicycling movement, and the ability to support local efforts through our financial, community and communication resources.

Rails to Trails Conservancy –

Not-for-profit organization working to create a nationwide network of trails on former rail lines to create healthier places and healthier people.



National governing body for the sport of cycling (road, mountain, BMX, track, Paralympic) that works to achieve sustained success in international cycling competition and to grow competitive cycling in the United States.
