Sexual Assault Planning Initiative

The Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance selected the Office of Violence Prevention's Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexul Assault to undertake a 1-2 year planning project focused on improving the delivery of justice and human services to victims of sexual assault.

Using a recently completed needs assessment study as a foundation, the Commission is creating the plan with an emphasis on providing comprehensive and seamless service for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through development of community-based advocacy programming. The planning process addresses both long-term and short-term needs of victims and survivors through examination of data, group strategic planning processes, and increased inclusion of survivor perspectives.
