Extra Cart Fees
Beginning January 1, 2013 households with more than one garbage cart will be charged a $13 per quarter fee for each additional garbage cart.
To avoid this charge, contact the Call Center at 286-CITY (2489) to request that DPW remove the extra garbage cart(s) from your property. There is no extra charge for more than one recycling cart.
There is a charge for all City residents bringing construction related material into the self help stations. This includes roofing material, brick, stones, concrete, lumber, drywall, paneling and other construction material.
The charge is $15 for up to 8 cubic yards, and $30 for 8-16 cubic yards (16 cubic yard maximum). No contractor vehicles allowed. See the Self-Help Centers page for more information.
Change in Bulky Pick-Ups
Collection crews will only take up to one (1) cubic yard of excess items on your scheduled collection day. Piles exceeding the one (1) cubic yard limit will be tagged for the resident to remove it. Nuisance garbage piles will be referred to the Department of Neighborhood Services for code enforcement. The one (1) cubic yard size limit is waived during your Project Clean & Green Week.
