Requests for Service

Sanitation is responsible for the collection and disposal of residential solid waste and recyclables for approximately 190,000 households. Residents are assigned a designated date for collections and on most routes this day shifts throughout the year to accomodate City holidays. Sanitation is also responsible for fall leaf collection, spring Project Clean & Green collections, street and alley cleaning, debris collection in the public right-of-way, and snow and ice control.

Service Request Options

Garbage and Recycling Carts

  • Request the addition or removal of a garbage or recycling cart
  • Request a courtesy or missed collection
  • Report a cart that is damaged, missing, removed from the premises, or not returned to the storage location (if applicable)
  • Report a contaminated recycling cart
  • Request collection of bulky garbage or construction and demolition waste
  • Request a garbage, recycling, or Project Clean and Green schedule

Report a Collection Need

  • Litter including furniture, large items, scattered, and small items

Elderly & Disabled Assistance (Hardship)

  • Request an application
  • Report a hardship cart that was not returned to the storage area

Apartments

  • Skid referral for large pickup
  • Dumpster missed collection (front and rear load)
