Facilities Development & Management

Facilities Development & Management is the classic example of an internal service division providing core services to City departments and agencies. The division is a composite of licensed professionals, skilled trades, certified mechanics and technicians, communication operations, dispatchers and experienced office staff. The division has undergone a multitude of staffing changes throughout the past several years. A vast number of methods and processes have been streamlined and the application of technology has created a more efficient and effective department.

Facilities Development & Management includes the Recreational Facilities Unit, which provides the external service of operating and maintaining play areas, green areas, and administers major reconstructions of Milwaukee Public School recreation sites.
