Foul Play Not Suspected in Body in Water

Milwaukee Police do not suspect foul play in the death of an elderly male found in the Milwaukee River this afternoon about 1:35 p.m. Two people in kayaks came upon the body in the Milwaukee River near Humboldt Avenue and Kane Place. Preliminary indications are that this likely was an accident. The investigation is continuing.

Armed Teen Arrested Outside Nightclub

A 13 year old suspect was arrested with a handgun outside of the Lady Bug Club, 618 N. Water Street. The club was hosting an underage event when a security guard saw the suspect holding the handgun outside of the club. The suspect ran to a car parked in the 500 block of N. Broadway where five other suspects were waiting. Milwaukee Police responded and arrested the 13-year-old Milwaukee male. Also arrested were five other Milwaukee males - ages 16, 19 and three 17-year-olds. The six suspects are suspected of conspiring to rob patrons of the club. Officers recovered the handgun.

District Four Officers Nab Burglars

When arresting burglars, police often find they are responsible for other crimes. On Friday, October 24 at 11:08 a.m., District Four Police officers responded to a report of an Entry in Progress at a home in the 6300 block of N. 106th Street. When the officers arrived, four suspects fled the residence that had been entered. Following a 40-minute foot pursuit and yard search, three of the suspects were located and arrested. All three suspects, Roderick O. Moore, Antoine D. Perkins, Jr. and Cameron T. Ferguson, were charged with Burglary by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office. Additionally, Ferguson was found to be in possession of identification belonging to a woman that was the victim of an Armed (facsimile handgun) street robbery on October 18 in the 9600 block of W. Fond Du Lac Ave. Ferguson confessed to committing that armed robbery and also was charged with the offense in Circuit Court.
