Solar Training and Education

For Professionals (current and future installers, site assessors, designers, etc):

• Energy Center Wisconsin - Energy Center University -Workshops, webinars, and training on energy efficiency, daylighting, and home performance.
• Focus on Energy - Offers training on a variety of topics for Agriculture, Commercial, Industrial, School and Government customers.
• Midwest Renewable Energy Associatiom (MREA) - Workshops and training in and around Milwaukee on solar electric, Solar Domestic Hot Water Systems and other technologies. MREA's courses prepare students to become certified installers and site assessors. 
• Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) -Offers four certificates: Energy Engineer Technology, Sustainable Operations, Renewable Energies and Chemtech (the last two will begin Fall 2009).
• Hot Water Products - Offers solar hot water dealer training
• Caleffi  - Offers solar hot water dealer training

For Homeowners:

• Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) - Workshops and seminars for homeowners who are interested in learning how renewable energy can work with them. Topics include: solar electric, Solar Water Heating, Small Wind Systems, and more.
• We Energies - Offers two hour renewable energy seminars on solar electric and solar water heating systems

For Youth:

• Milwaukee Community Service Corps - Will begin solar installation courses for youth in the near future
• Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful - “Energy and the Environment” programs for 4th -12th grade students
• We Energies Education Outreach Program - Attend  the Solar in the City exhibit launch at Betty Brinn Children's Museum.

For Teachers:

• We Energies Education Outreach Program - Request a Renewable Energy Science Kit from We Energies Classroom Resources.
