Health Appraisal Registration Deadline November 20th

The last day to schedule health appraisal appointments is November 20, 2017. No exceptions to the deadline will be made. Participation in the Health Appraisal process is not mandatory, but if employees and their spouse plan to take the City’s health insurance, they must complete the Health Appraisal to avoid a fee. Employees and spouses/partners must also complete the Health Appraisal in order to be eligible to participate in Healthy Rewards.

Go to 

(1) Locate “New User” box and click “Register”; (2) In the “New User Registration” box, enter all required information (Company Code is: 0007: User ID = PeopleSoft/Employee ID-Spouse/partner use employee’s PeopleSoft/Employee ID+SP (Example: 123456SP); (3) Individual e-mail address is required for each participant; (4)Click “Register” to view your home page.

New FSA Administrator: Benefit Advantage

The City is switching to a new administrator for Flexible Spending and Health Reimbursement Arrangement (FSA/HRA) programs. Benefit Advantage will replace eflexgroup/TASC and transition all employee accounts by December 1, 2017. There will be a black out period leading up to the change from November 15-30 and employees will not be able to use their debit cards or file claims during this period. Employees will receive new Benefit Advantage debit cards and can use the cards once the transition is complete on December 1, 2017. After December 1, all claims must be filed with Benefit Advantage instead of eflexgroup/TASC.

NEW City of Milwaukee Onsite Nurse Liaison

An onsite nurse liaison through UHC is available to help employees/spouses understand information and follow-up steps from doctor appointments, provide support with chronic medical conditions like diabetes, hypertension and asthma, find the right type of care and address questions or issues regarding care or treatment. The nurse will visit various City locations and is available to employees and spouses. This FREE service is available to all City of Milwaukee employees and spouses. City Benefits for Domestic Partners Update

2017 Wisconsin Act 59, which was signed into law as part of the 2017-2019 state biennial budget, created a new section (66.0510) that changes the City’s ability to provide certain benefits to domestic partners. The legislation states that a local governmental unit many only provide an employee benefit plan to its officers, agents, employees, spouses and dependent children. Please see the attached letter for details on how this legislation will impact City of Milwaukee benefits for domestic partners and their dependents including health and dental insurance, life insurance and wellness programs and services.
