Please Participate in Project Clean & Green 2015
Alderman Dudzik is encouraging residents and neighborhoods to take part in Project Clean & Green, which is designed to foster neighborhood pride through community clean ups, street and alley sweeping, and graffiti removal, with activities sponsored by community organizations.
The program will focus on one zone within the city weekly. The focus zones for the program can cross over aldermanic district boundaries, but the entire 11th Aldermanic District will have as its focus period May 11-15 on the designated garbage collection day for your residence. Please click here to see the Clean and Green map.
During this period residents can place unwanted furniture, mattresses and other household items at a designated collection point on the scheduled collection day.
If your neighborhood wants to schedule a group cleanup or would like more information, you can contact Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful at kgmb.org or 414-272-5462 for cleanup bags, gloves or to borrow a limited number of clean up tools (rakes, shovels, brooms).Project Clean & Green will be held again this spring, allowing residents of the 11th District to leave extra materials and items out for pickup by Sanitation crews. However it should be noted that no construction materials, hazardous waste, paint, electronics, more than 5 automobile tires or brush piles larger than two cubic yards (equivalent to a six-foot sofa) will be accepted.
If you have questions about the project, please call 286-CITY(2489).
