ReEnergizer of the Year

Intended to shed light on leaders often working behind the scenes, the ReEnergizer of the Year award recognizes exceptional facility managers, building engineers, and others that successfully lead their team in going above and beyond to manage building operational efficiency, seek out energy reduction projects, and implement tenant engagement strategies. ReEnergizers are self-nominated.

Eligibility

  • Nominee works in a building that is a Better Buildings Challenge participant
  • Nominee holds the title of facility manager, property manager, building engineer, or some equivalent role

2017 Winner

Deon Sartin from Wangard Partners.

Award accepted on behalf of Deon by Anne White, LEED AP O+M, Development Executive Assistant, Wangard

Deon is a facility engineer for Wangard Partners. He has an Energy Engineering Technology certificate from MATC. Some of Deon’s projects include the LED retrofit of parking lot lights, championing benchmarking of energy and water use through ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and drafting standard operating procedures and a sequence of operations for his buildings.
