MPD Retirees Invited to Shape Up at the Academy

Shape Up!

Those who have retired from the Milwaukee Police Department in good standing, including duty disability retirements and civilians, are eligible to use the fitness center and gym at the Safety Academy.

The workout facilities are generally available between the hours of 5 p.m. – 7 a.m., Monday – Friday, and anytime on weekends and holidays. During normal business hours, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, the facilities are generally not available due to fire and police training activities. A retiree wishing to use the facilities should contact the Training Division staff in the front office to ensure there is no conflict in the use of the facility.

Interested persons must sign the terms of use as well as a waiver of liability. Further information is available at the Training Division front office at 935-7960.
