MPD Makes Quick Arrest of Robbery Suspects

Dec. 11 - Three undercover Milwaukee Police Officers quickly arrested two suspects just after they attempted to rob a 17-year-old woman who was with her 6-year-old brother. The two suspects, a 39-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man both from Milwaukee, approached the woman and the boy in the 4100 block of W. Villard Avenue shortly before 9:00 p.m. on December 10. The female suspect demanded money from the victim while displaying a handgun. The victim ran across the street without giving the suspects her money. Three undercover Milwaukee Police officers who were in the area asked the victim what the suspects were up to. When the victim told the officers about the robbery attempt the suspects were quickly taken into custody. The officers also recovered a toy handgun used by the suspect. Both suspects will be referred to the District Attorney’s office for charges.
