Catalytic Projects

Century City

Century City represents the core component of the Corridor's revitalization. Century City will be a high-quality, market ready, modern business park that is anticipated to attract new businesses and jobs, focus private reinvestment in the area, while improving surrounding land uses.  With the predevelopment phase now complete, RACM is prepared to sell land and achieve its intended goal of attracting companies and jobs to the heart of Milwaukee.

A recent $1M grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) will fund a Greenway and Gateway Project that will begin construction in 2014.

Esser Paint

The former Esser Paint factory site will be redeveloped into a new single and multifamily development, in addition to a two acre parcel of open space on 31st Street, between Walnut and Galena Streets.

Bishops Creek

The former Kaiser Tannery site is currently being redeveloped by the Bishop's Creek Community Development Corporation to revitalize the community with new business enterprises, housing and employment opportunities

Brownfield Initiative

The DNR, City of Milwaukee, and 30th Street Industrial Corridor Corporation have partnered to transform properties in the Corridor into productive parcels of land for industrial, commercial, residential or mixed uses. The partners recently closed out two EPA Brownfield Assessment grants totaling $800,000 and prepared a final report documenting the successful outcomes achieved.
