September 11^th, 2011 marks the 10-year anniversary of the attacks of 9/11. Fire departments everywhere are participating in a new way to remember the 343 firefighters that perished that day. Firefighters share a common bond based upon the unique experiences we share. With that being said, how many of us have experienced anything like what those 343 brave firefighters experienced in the WTC? This is why firefighters across the country are climbing 110 stories, the equivalent of the towers, in full turnout gear to understand a fraction of what they endured. This is not a race but an opportunity to honor them through physical appreciation and understanding.
