Deputy Inspector of Police

 

 

Deputy Inspector Mary Hoerig has been a member of the Milwaukee Police Department for 19 years. She has served in many areas of the Police Department including patrol officer; Detective in the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Sensitive Crimes Division/Sexual Assault Unit; Lieutenant of Detectives in the Internal Affairs Division/Criminal Investigation Unit; Captain and Deputy Inspector of Professional Performance Division/Office of the Chief; Command of the Intergovernmental Services, Field Operations. She currently serves as Adjunct to the Administration Chief.

Mary Hoerig received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Management from Concordia University, graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety (Police Staff and Command), Senior Management Institute of Police, and masters studies at Marquette University. She is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Women Police, IACP and the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives. She is a guest instructor for Fox Valley Technical College and conferences throughout the US. Currently, she serves as a board member for the LGBT Community Center and is committed to quality police service for all citizens of the City of Milwaukee.
