Mayor Tom Barrett and Common Council President Willie L. Hines, Jr. discussed the move by Manpower Inc. from Glendale to a downtown Milwaukee site just east of N. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. and south of W. Cherry St. during a meeting with the media on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Milwaukee Public Market. The $50 million development will move more than 800 Manpower employees to a new corporate headquarters. Joining the Mayor and President Hines at the media event was Ald. Michael S. D'Amato, whose 3rd Aldermanic District includes the future Manpower site.
