In the case of birth certificates, only those requesting a copy their own birth certificate or those requesting a birth certificate copy of a member of his/her immediate family may obtain a one. For death certificates, only members of the decedent's immediate family may obtain certified copies of death certificates.

Office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. A valid picture identification is required (either a driver's license or identification card). A short application will need to be completed.
- For birth certificates: only the person named on the record, an immediate family member, a person with written permission from persons named on the certificate or a legal representative may obtain certified copies. Birth certificates are $20 for one and $3 for each addition that is issued at the same time on the same record.
- For death certificates: Only an immediate family member, a person with written permission from an immediate family member, and a legal representative may obtain certified copies. Death certificates are $20 for one and $3 for each additional that is issued at the same time on the same record.
- Using your credit card or debit card: In response to customer requests, both debit cards and credit cards can be used to purchase a birth certificate. Your card must have a VISA or Mastercard logo on it. Debit cards can only be used for over-the-counter requests. Credit cards can be used for both over-the-counter and faxed requests.
- Certificates are obtained immediately.
