Mayor Barrett to Participate in July 4th Events

Mayor Tom Barrett will be celebrating Independence Day all around Milwaukee.  As per tradition, Mayor Barrett will attend several events throughout the day in an effort to reach out to all corners of our city.  The schedule of events for the day is as follows. 

9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. – Humboldt Park Parade
3000 S. Howell Ave.
Parade Start: Kinnickinnic & Linus St.

10:20 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. – Noyes Park
8235 W. Good Hope Rd.
Mayor Barrett will participate in awards ceremony for bike decorating, coaster wagon & float contest.

11:20 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. – Alcott Park
3751 S. 97th St.
Mayor Barrett to participate in awards ceremony for doll buggy, stroller, bike and wagon contest. 

12:00 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. – Lunch at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center
5000 W. National Ave. (in outside tent) 
Mayor Barrett will have lunch with veterans and 4th of July commissioners.

1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. – Lake Park
3233 E. Kenwood Blvd.
Talent Contest hosted by John McGivern.

2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Gordon Park
2828 N. Humboldt Blvd.
Live music & family events.

2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.—Washington Park
1859 N. 40th St.
Doll buggy and coaster wagon contest.
