New Legislation

The following legislation was enacted by the Milwaukee Common Council at its most recent meeting of  December 16, 2008:

Files 081046 creates new licensing requirements (and fees) for animals fewer than 5 months old and increases the fine for failire to obtain an animal license in a timely manner.

File 081017 recreates the Equal Rights Committee and defines its role in housing and employment discrimination.

File 080928 approves a new University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee dorm just east of the Milwaukee River on North Avenue.

File 080871 creates maintenance standards (including lawn mowing and snow shoveling) for foreclosed homes.

File  080834 approves the city's purchase, through the Redevelopment Authority, of the building and land that previously housed the Black Holocaust Museum on N. 4th St.
