Neighborhood Improvement Districts

State law allows municipalities to form Neighborhood Improvement Districts (NID) within residential neighborhoods. Within a NID, property owners are assessed funds that are used for investments that improve the quality of life within the district. The NID handbook provides detailed information about this neighborhood improvement tool.
