Two-thirds fewer young black males died violent deaths on Milwaukee’s streets in 2008 than the previous year, and the number of people killed by a firearm decreased by nearly half, according to the year-end homicide numbers released today by Milwaukee Police Chief Edward A. MILWAUKEE POLICE SEND BIG MESSAGE TO GANG MEMBERS

Chief Edward A. Flynn and D.A. John Chisholm are sending the message to anyone associated with a gang or carrying a gun that they will get arrested and they will do some serious time for their crimes. Clear Channel Outdoor is helping get the message out with six billboards placed throughout Milwaukee's South Side that warn gang members of the serious consequences of their actions. Learn more...

Copies of reportable traffic accident reports are now available online at www.milwaukee.gov/accidentreports. Reports may be viewed and printed free of charge. Available reports include those for all incidents occurring after June 1, 2008, as well as some occurring before that date.
