Captain of Police

Captain Michael Dubis began his career with the Milwaukee Police Department in 1978 when he was hired as a police aide. Since that time he has been promoted to the rank of Police Officer, Detective , Lieutenant of Detectives and Captain of Police.
During his career he has been recognized for outstanding service to the department and the community. He has received departmental awards for his meritorious arrests for homicide, robbery, burglary and sexual assault. In addition he was awarded a Class C Citation for his part in shielding and guiding an officer to safety after he was shot.

During his career, he has attended courses at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He also has completed the State of Wisconsin's DCI Death Investigation School and the internationally renowned Henry F.Williams Homicide School at the New York State Police's Academy.

Captain Dubis is married and has three sons. He remains involved in the community, including with the Boy Scouts of America.
