Mayor Barrett to Participate in

Mayor Tom Barrett will be celebrating Independence Day all around Milwaukee. As per tradition, Mayor Barrett will attend several events throughout the day in an effort to reach out to all corners of our city. The schedule of events for the day is as follows.
9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. – Wilson Park Parade, 3900 South 20th Street: Mayor Barrett will walk in the parade and greet residents.
10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Jackson Park, 3500 West Forest Home Avenue: Mayor Barrett will participate in awards ceremony for poster decorating, doll buggy, coaster, bike & trike contest, demonstrations and activities.
10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. – Mitchell Park, 2200 West Pierce Street: Mayor Barrett will greet parents and children. There will be games and activities for all families.
11:25 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. – Sherman Park, 3000 North Sherman Boulevard: Bike & trike contest and games.
12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. – Lunch at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center - Lake Wheeler Pavilion, 5000 West National Avenue: Mayor Barrett to have lunch with veterans and 4th of July commissioners.
12:50 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Lake Park, 3233 East Kenwood Boulevard: Mayor Barrett will greet residents and enjoy the talent contest and picnic at the park.
1:40 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Gordon Park: 2828 North Humboldt Boulevard: Mayor Barrett will greet residents and enjoy live music, performances, ongoing art projects and family events.
