• 23 Employees

• 18 Laboratory Scientists / Technologists

• 2 - Laboratory Sections: 1) Clinical & Environmental Microbiology and 2) Chemistry, Virology and Molecular Science.

• Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment Certification  for the Keenan Health Center
• Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection Laboratory Certification

General Testing Information

Call the laboratory at 414-286-3526, FAX: 414-286-5098 for any information and assistance regarding appropriate specimen collection and transport. This information is also on our website.  Consult MHDL Fee Schedule for available, microbiologic, virologic and chemical tests.

Specimen Delivery

Normal laboratory hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:45p.m., Monday - Friday.  Please call the lab in advance to arrange after hours deliveries.  For emergencies after hours please call 414-286-2150.

Specimen Submission Information

Specimen requisition forms are available online or from the laboratory.  Please note that incomplete test requests, lack of necessary demographics on the test requisition or inappropriate sample packaging and transport may delay test turn around time.

If an outbreak is suspected, the laboratory can assist with appropriate test selection, collection and transport information.  In addition to clinical specimens, Environmental, Food, Dairy, Water, and Air testing may be available for public health needs
