District 5 Officers Arrest Juvenile with Gun and Drugs

Dec. 2 - Officers from District 5 were suspicious of some late night behavior in the street, leading to a foot pursuit and the arrest of a juvenile with a gun and ecstasy. Officers Matthew Gadzalinski, Michael Driscoll, Jacob Knight, and Brian Kozelek were on patrol when they found four suspects standing in the street in the 2400 block of W. Chambers around 4 a.m. on December 2. As the officers approached, two of the suspects sped away in a car, and a 16-year-old boy ran on foot. The 16-year-old dropped a handgun as he ran from the officers. The officers caught the boy, and found that he was in possession of 37 ecstasy pills.
