The Commercial Revitalization Deduction (CRD) is an incentive targeted to property owners within the RC who have undertaken or are planning substantial renovation of an existing building or development of a new building for commercial use. The CRD allows property owners to accelerate depreciation on commercial property located in the RC. Each year of the designation, Milwaukee has $12 million worth of CRDs to allocate to eligible projects. To be considered for this tax incentive, you must submit an application.
