District 7 Officers Quickly Nab Robbery Suspects

Dec. 16 - Officers from District 7 were able to quickly take three suspects into custody after the armed robbery of a 42-year-old Wauwatosa woman in a parking lot in the 7900 block of W. Burleigh. An armed suspect approached the woman as she was getting into her car at about 6:40 p.m. on December 15. The suspect took money from victim, and then ran from the parking lot. Officers Joseph Baltutis and Andrew Thoma found the 20-year-old suspect near 80th and Auer. As the officers approached the suspect they identified a handgun in the suspect’s hand. The suspect complied with the officers’ orders to drop the gun, and he was arrested. The officers also recovered the stolen money taken in the robbery. The suspect’s 22-year-old and 18-year-old accomplices were also arrested. All three will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney for possible charges.
