September 1, 2016 - Mayor Barrett met with Shariff Brookens, the recipient of a wish from the Make a Wish Foundation. Mr. Bookens used his wish to host a fundraiser to benefit four youth charities in the City.
September 12, 2016 - Mayor Barrett met with the leadership team from BMO Harris Bank to discuss opportunities in Milwaukee.
September 14, 2016 - Mayor Barrett joined Northcott Neighborhood House in highlighting Milwaukee Builds, the organization’s initiative that works to improve housing around the City. Milwaukee Builds is funded through a City of Milwaukee Community Development Block Grant.
September 19, 2016 – Mayor Tom Barrett welcomed visitors to City Hall for 2016 Door Open Milwaukee. More than 165 buildings throughout the City opened their doors to attendees.
January 16, 2017 - Mayor Barrett honored the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. at the annual breakfast held at the Italian Community Center.
October 21, 2016 – Mayor Barrett attended the Journey House Campus Housing Grand Opening. In partnership with Project O-YEAH, the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County, this campus housing will help address homelessness among young people.
June 1, 2017- Mayor Barrett kicked-off the 2017 Walk 100 Miles in 100 Days challenge.
October 24, 2016 – Mayor Barrett joins a group of school students to celebrate the Bucks Sherman Park Makeover Project.
October 25, 2016 – Mayor Barrett and Commissioner of Health Bevan K. Baker hosted a press conference at Neighborhood House Milwaukee to encourage community members to get their flu shots.

September 22, 2016 – Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was joined by state and local leaders to promote the new safe disposal kiosks for prescription and over-the-counter drugs at Walgreens. The drug disposal kiosks will prevent potential abuse of medications once properly discarded.
January 26, 2017 - Mayor Barrett dined with veterans at Mikey’s Modern BBQ in East Town.
September 23, 2016 – Mayor Barrett recognized the efforts of the Compliance Loan Program. Through this program, homeowners will have access to more resources for repairs to fix code violations on their property.
