Mayor Barrett to Participate in City's 4th of July Celebrations

Celebrate the 4th MilwaukeeSince 1911 the City of Milwaukee has provided its citizens, neighbors and visitors with a friendly celebration of America’s independence. This year the City is pleased to continue Milwaukee’s tradition of celebrating the 4th of July in neighborhoods throughout the city.
Mayor Tom Barrett is looking forward to another year of celebrating Independence Day all around Milwaukee. As the city gears up for many celebrations, parades, festivals and contests, Mayor Barrett will be making his way around the city, celebrating the holiday with local Milwaukee residents.
 
The schedule of events for the day is as follows. Scheduled times are approximate and subject to change.  
 
9:00am to 9:40amHumboldt Park Parade (Parade Start: Kinnickinnic & Linus St.)
10:00am to 10:40amLake Park - Games, balloon clown, kid’s crafts, kid’s tattoos
11:00am to 11:30amEnderis Playfield Watermelon Eating Contest
11:40am to 12:00pmJackson Park Assembly – Doll Buggy, Bikes, Trikes & Coaster Wagons
12:30pm to 1:15pm – Lunch at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center
3:00pm to 3:30pmWashington Park Decorated Doll Buggy & Coaster Wagon Contest
3:40pm to 4:00pmGordon Park - Live music and family activities
