Early Voting - 2016 Fall General Election
September 26 - November 5
The 2016 Fall General Election In-Person Absentee Voting schedule offers expanded locations, dates and hours for City of Milwaukee early voters. Voting early is quick and easy for City of Milwaukee residents. Consider voting early if you have any concerns about your Election Day schedule or simply prefer to avoid waiting in line.
Fall Leaf Collection Oct. 1 - Nov. 15
City of Milwaukee residents have until Tuesday, November 15 to rake their leaves into the curb lanes for pick-up by Department of Public Works (DPW). Leaves are banned from landfills and must not be placed in garbage or recycling carts. DPW collects leaves, brush and yard waste separately from garbage and composts it, which conserves natural resources while saving the City money. Residents are also encouraged to mulch leaves, and leave grass clippings on the lawn. This saves time and money, and adds nutrients to the soil.
Trick-or-Treat is Sunday, Oct. 30
Official Trick or Treat hours in the City of Milwaukee will be held on Sunday, October 30 from 1-4pm. Residents are reminded to keep children safe during Trick or Treat.
Get safety tips from your police and fire departments and let's make Halloween safe and more enjoyable for everyone.
