Captain Anthony T. Smith joined the Milwaukee Police Department in 1990. As a police officer he was assigned to Police District Three. He was later promoted to the ranks of police sergeant and lieutenant of police. In 2006 he was promoted to the rank of captain of police.
Captain Smith has holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of Northwestern University's Center for Public Safety's School of Staff and Command.
Captain Smith was the district commander of Police District Five, prior to his current assignment.
