First 6 Months of 2009 Mark Drops in Crime

July 8 - Nearly  3,200 fewer people were victims of violent crime in Milwaukee the first six months of this year compared to the same period in 2008.

Violent crime is down 15.5% from a year ago, and 27% since 2007. Car thefts are down 32% compared to last year, and 38% since 2007. Burglaries are down 14.4%
